A View from the Easel @ Hyperallergic

Hyperallergic.com

Though my work encourages me to get out and explore, I make a good portion of my art from right here in my living room. Where the room gets fairly good light in the day, I make most of my work late into the night. Doing my thing at home is convenient as it allows me to make work more often, either in short stints or over longer expanses of time. My apartment doubles as a studio/hangout by utilizing a number of storage containers that I've scavenged, as well as a light table built out of various reclaimed materials. Keeping my eyes peeled for junk and taking the time to repurpose it has made for a studio space that informs the work coming out of it as well as going into it.
